When will the playground open?

Installation is scheduled for early August and the goal is that we would have a grand opening party by mid-to late August. Stay tuned for more details!

Who is the playground for?

Anyone and everyone! This is a community playground designed for kids of all ages and abilities. Many local families currently walk to our existing playground and we are excited to continue to serve our surrounding neighborhoods and the community of Newark. The playground structures are built in mind for ages 2-12. We will also be installing a pavilion within the fenced area so that parents can comfortably keep an eye on their kids.

Will the playground be ADA certified?

Yes! Our playground will meet all ADA certifications as well as CPSI standards. Our goal has always been that this playground be a safe, inclusive space for all children to enjoy.

How can I be involved?

There are so many ways to be involved! We will have multiple community workdays between now and August to help get our property ready. Fill out the form below to stay in the loop on how you can lend a hand or a hammer.

Our playground manufacturer is Miracle Recreation.

The playground will be located directly adjacent our church building at 708 W Church Rd. Newark DE 19711.
